Previously Used or Reuse Implant Parts
Reusing implant parts, such as impression copings, screws, abutments, replicas, and analogs, is common practice, as it reduces costs for patients and doctors. Since they are used in lab processing and not directly involved with patients, reusing them may not appear critical.
However, we receive more remakes due to the displacement of implant parts. For example, analogs, impression copings, or screws’ stripped (even very small details) threads can rotate or displace abutments. So it’s faulty from the start. Repairing or fixing them after is much more costly; therefore, we are not taking any chances since it’s not worth saving for you or your patients.
As such, we don’t accept previously used implant parts. Instead, please send us new parts for each patient.
Here, at The Art of Aesthetics, we will continue to improve to provide the best for our doctors and their patients.
Please call us if you would like to discuss this matter further.
