- Turnaround Time
To keep it simple, we ask two weeks for most cases or three weeks for implants and cosmetic restorations. However, some cases, such as Atlantis or Encode implant systems, can take longer. By the same token, you will receive single-unit digital cases much faster. Therefore, to be safe, please allow two weeks for us to complete most crowns and bridges or three weeks for implants and cosmetics. Furthermore, if we need more information, such as unclear margin or bite issues, we will have to hold until you provide the information we need. The bottom line is that the turnaround time is on a case-by-case basis.
It may be the case that some of our competitors take shorter than two weeks. But, again, we are not competing to be a day or two faster, but we are aiming to produce higher quality. Your patients will wear our crowns for many years, and we want to do the job correctly the first time. Therefore, waiting a few days is worth it. Our clients don’t mind giving us more time because they know that they will be getting back work that doesn’t cut corners. Also, some of our clients go through the hassle of shipping to us from a long distance because they know that returning work for a remake or adjustment is seldom an issue with us.
- Digital Technology

Please locate your scanner and follow the simple steps. You can always contact us if you need our help. Sending digital impressions to us should be the easiest step.

- Our Services
We service renowned cosmetic and implant dentists worldwide with free and fast shipping services to our full-time regular clients. If FedEx or UPS is available in your country, most likely, we will serve you. Also, if you have an intraoral digital impression scanner, we can work with most digital impression files. The Art of Aesthetics is a 3Shape Trios Ready, Align iTero Partner Lab, Sirona Cerec, and True Definition Margin Marking dental laboratory. Since we service dental offices worldwide, we are registered with the United States Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as a medical device manufacturing facility.
- Our Services
Although we specialize in crowns and bridges, we accept all types of restoration cases. For some removables, we outsource to our partner labs since we don’t have the best capability to construct them. This is because some of our clients want to send all reconstruction to us instead of splitting them between laboratories. We don’t want to return anything to you uncompleted.
- Our Services
Except for customized implant abutments, such as Dentsply Sirona Atlantis, Encode Healing (BellaTek Zimmer Biomet), Neoss, Straumann, and removables, we keep all our work under our roof for consistency. Also, this is the only way we can assure what goes into the product manufacturing is the highest quality and is approved by the U.S. FDA.
- Our Services
Our laboratory services are not only high-end but affordable. Our fees are half the cost of our worthy competitors. For example, some high-end labs charge $500 and up to restore crowns and bridges. Our fees are a fraction of the cost. Contact us for our full fee schedules. You will see why our lab services are the best buy for dental practices.
- Impression Method
Regardless of digital or PVS impression, we prefer the double-cord technique when taking an impression. Please wait enough time to separate the gum tissue for maximum margin visibilities.
- Remake & Repair
Like every lab, we are only human—just well-trained and experienced in what we do. But unfortunately, we occasionally err. For this reason, we don’t charge for remakes that are due to our error. Often, we have to guess the margins or the bites because the information we have is not clearly defined. Therefore, we ask you to double-check your impressions and instructions before you transmit them to us. Please mark which one to use if you are sending two of the same impression. Click here for our terms and conditions.
- Remake & Repair
Distance is no longer an excuse or factor in providing your patients with the best dental restorations. For us, we minimize same-day repairs by providing you with the most consistently restored crowns and bridges. Will you use a “so-so” local lab just because of the same-day repair issues? What if we can prevent most of them in the first place? Furthermore, overnight shipping to us is free if, once in a while, you have to repair it due to an uncontrollable circumstance. Again, check out our long-distance clients who have been with us for more than 15 years.
- Communicating with Us
You can communicate with us through our toll-free number, email address, iMessage, mobile device text, fax, or other mobile applications such as Skype, WhatsApp, or more. However, we prefer email because all our ceramists have access to our email account. In addition, email leaves records and it’s harder to miss. Please put the name of your patient on the subject line. We do not publish our phone numbers and email addresses on our website for security purposes. We receive hundreds of emails from spammers and scammers per day, especially from overseas. We don’t want your important emails to be buried in a spam email folder. If you fill out the form on the Contact Us page, we will provide you with our phone numbers and email addresses.
- Communicating with Us
We are living in an age of amazing technology. For example, the phone in our hand performs much better than a computer did ten years ago. Or the camera on your phone is better than a professional digital camera was ten years ago. Until a few years ago, a ceramist would take the shade information from your patients for custom shading. This is no longer necessary since the photos you take with your smartphone while your patients are on your chairside are better than custom shading. If you don’t believe us, check out the testimonial section of our website and what our clients say about matching one anterior tooth. In fact, most of our cosmetic clients are thousands of kilometers or miles from us. Also, we have many long-distance clients who only send us difficult anterior shade-matching cases. Check out our website on how to take good photos for custom shading. Then, you can simply email them to us. It’s easy, foolproof, and best of all, it’s free from the convenience of your chairside.
- Payment
You must provide us with your credit card or ACH information when you send your cases to us the first time. We will charge your credit card before we ship your cases. However, once you become a regular client in good standing, we will mail (or email) you a monthly statement at the end of each month. Then, you have three weeks to send in a check. Alternatively, if you provide us with the bank ACH information, we can withdraw the fee on or about the 21st of each month. If we don’t receive payment by the 21st of each month, we will add a finance charge on top of the annual interest. Click here for our terms and conditions.
- Digital Technology
If you can’t find The Art of Aesthetics in your scanner, please fill out the contact form and we will walk you through connecting your intraoral digital scanner to our server. If you have other than 3Shape, Cerec, iTero, or True Definition, you may have to request your scanner manufacturer to add The Art of Aesthetics to your scanner.
- Digital Technology
We are fully integrated into digital dentistry. We can accept most types of digital files, print 3D models in-house, and mill using our state-of-the-art milling machine. Therefore, you can send us digital files for diagnostic wax-up, cosmetic, and implant cases. However, because of the compatibility issues with implant analogs, we prefer PVS impressions with the impression coping for some implant restorations. We strive to adopt higher advanced technology than most dental offices.
- Digital Technology
Typically, we keep about six months’ worth of data on our server. After that, we have no choice but to delete files since data files are so large and we don’t have the capacity to store them longer. If you need to remake your digital impression in less than six months, we can do so. However, we may have accidentally deleted it, so check with us first.
- Certification
In May 2018, after a lengthy process, The Art of Aesthetics received a certification of Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB) from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Center for Verification and Evaluation (CVE). However, the VOSB certification did not affect much of our business, and since the renewal process was too burdensome, we didn’t renew it when it expired in May 2021. If you need the VOSB certification to use our dental lab services, we will be glad to go through the process again. Please allow us six months to do so.
- Certification
While we want to receive Certified Dental Laboratory (CDL or CDT) certification, we have other priorities, such as learning new digital technology, better materials, improved methods, and improved skills. Unfortunately, we have too much on our plate between learning new skills and meeting deadlines. Also, the formality of getting the certificate didn’t impact our technicians or, more importantly, our clients. However, if given the opportunity, we will do so in the future. By the same token, we will consider being certified by the Las Vegas Institute (LVI) and the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD).
- PVS Impression
Suppose you are sending alginate impressions for opposing or study models. In that case, all
alginate impressions must be poured up before shipping to avoid caking, enabling The Art Of
Aesthetics to create a beautiful restoration.
- PVS Impression
For all implant restorations, you can send either open tray impressions or closed tray
impressions, but we prefer open tray impressions. Be sure to include impression coping and
laboratory analogs or laboratory replica analogs and abutments. In all implant restoration
cases, polyvinyl siloxane impressions must be full-arch impressions. As always, the opposing
model must be included in all cases.
When shipping plaster models or stone models to us, such as opposing models or study models,
please be sure to wrap your models well to avoid any damage during transit. You do not need
to wrap PVS Impressions, but they should be free from any objects that may press against them
and create distortion.
- PVS Impression
Before you take polyvinyl siloxane impressions – PVS Impressions, be sure to dry or wipe out
blood and liquid and make sure that they are void-free. Margins should be captured and clearly
visible all around. Please be sure to pack two cords.
- Implant
We need every detail about the implant fixtures, such as size and implant platform, maker or
name of the manufacturer, model or type, and/or brand name. In addition, please specify
screw-retained or cement-retained restorations.
- Implant
We recommend screw-retained for low emergence profile type, whereas, for anterior implant
restorations, we recommend cement-retained type with customized zirconia abutment,
anodized gold titanium abutment, or titanium abutment.
- Our Services
The regular client is a full-time dental practice that utilizes our restoration services for all crowns and bridges restorations. Also, your account must be in good standing with us. The benefits of being our regular clients are: You get a dedicated team of highly qualified ceramists for your cases. Pay no shipping, both ways, regardless of your location. In addition, we will bill you a monthly statement instead of payment each time we ship cases. Extended warranty on selected services.
